Anissa Correa3rd Grade Teacher
Mrs. Anissa Correa is a highly respected veteran teacher who has dedicated 27 years of service to TUSD. Always willing to collaborate with her colleagues, she is a true team player at Banks Elementary School. Last year, she took on the school's largest class with 28 students. Despite the class size, she knew each student personally; under her encouragement, they grew both academically and socially within the safe, secure environment she consistently provided.
She masterfully mentored her fellow third-grade teacher during her first year of teaching. While she maintains high expectations and structure, Mrs. Correa is deeply kind and supportive, ensuring every student thrives.
Cheri MalloyOffice Manager
Mrs. Malloy has 21 years of service within TUSD, including over a decade at Banks Elementary School. What makes her truly special is her deep dedication to both the school and the community. As our Office Manager, she is exceptionally efficient—so much so that I sometimes think she is psychic.
There have been numerous times when I’ve gone to ask for something, only for her to tell me she just placed it on my desk. Kind, respectful, and highly regarded, Mrs. Malloy is a cornerstone of our leadership and the main reason our school runs so smoothly.
Cristobal MoralesELD Teacher
Mr. Cristobal Morales has been with TUSD for six years, serving as a first-grade teacher for five years before transitioning into the ELD position at Banks Elementary School in the 25-26 school year. He is a master teacher, and in his very first year as our ELD specialist, his immense teaching abilities helped numerous students transition off the ELL list.
Thanks to his dedication, Banks Elementary School received the maximum 10 points possible for student results on the AASA state test. Mr. Morales is beloved by both students and staff alike. He generously volunteers his time to extracurricular activities, assists with our sports programs, and is always willing to translate for Spanish-speaking parents during parent-teacher conferences.
